Your shared comparisons are encrypted with AES-256 encryption before being stored in our database. We automatically delete all shared comparisons after 30 days. For more details, please see our Privacy Policy.

You can compare any text content, including plain text, code in various programming languages, JSON, XML, HTML, markdown, and more. Our specialized code comparison features provide syntax highlighting for over 20 programming languages.

While there's no strict limit, we recommend keeping individual comparisons under 50,000 characters for optimal performance. For larger files, you might experience some slowdown depending on your device capabilities.

Checkpoints are automatically created when you perform comparisons or share your results. You can also manually create checkpoints by clicking the "Create Checkpoint" button. To restore a checkpoint, simply click on it in the checkpoints panel. Checkpoints are stored in your browser's local storage and will persist across sessions unless you clear your browser data.

Character mode compares your text character-by-character, showing precise differences down to individual characters. Word mode treats words as units, highlighting entire words that have been added, removed, or changed. Word mode is often more useful for document review, while character mode is better for code or detailed text analysis.
